Our safe house “S.H.E.“ is a specialized shelter for refugee women and their children who are impacted or threatened by domestic violence in their social environment.
Women you want to stay at our safe house “S.H.E.“ need to be registered in the State of Saxony (Bundesland Sachsen) and and they also need to have been recognised as entitled to asylum.
You can decide voluntarily if you want to move into our safe house
“S.H.E.“. “S.H.E.“ provides shelter and support regardless of race, religion, culture or sexual orientation.
Our safe house “S.H.E.“:
- provides fast and uncomplicated services
- provides a place of protection with a confidential address
- provides crisis intervention services
- psychological and social counseling for adults, children and youth
- support to secure your livelihood
- carries out risk assessments together with you and helps you tailor a plan for your future
vemploys highly skilled and trained staff that will help you process and cope with the violence you have experienced - collaborates with experienced lawyers
- accompanies you to appointments at different authorities and institutions and helps you deal with autority issues
- offers follow-up counseling (if needed) and refers you to further assistance networks
The staff at our safe house „S.H.E.“ consists of 5 social workers with a strong focus on pedagogical approaches. 3 of them provide counseling services to adults that are impacted by violence and 2 of them work with (their affected) children and youth. The safe house can provide accomodation for up to 10 families.
We speak German and English and can call in interpreters for all other languages.
