Our refuge “1. Autonomes Frauenhaus“ (engl. First Autonomous Women’s Refuge) is ananonymous refuge for women, inter, non-binary persons and their children who are affectedby domestic violence. Admission to the our refuge is independent of age (18 years or above),financial status, religion, residency status, sexual orientation or educational background.In our definition, domestic violence is not only physical violence, but also: sexual,psychological and economic violence or if you are threatened by persons in your socialenvironment, e.g. (ex) partners, adult family members, neighbors, flatmates or other personsclose to you.

S.H.E. is a women’s refuge with a particular focus on refugee women and their children who are affected by violence or receive threats of violence from persons in their social environment. Violence is any behaviour that has a damaging effect on a physical, mental, sexual, social or emotional level and prevents you from living a self-determined life.

Coordinating Center of Domestic Violence Interventions (KIS)
Our coordinating center of domestic violence interventions “KIS“ (ger. Koordinierungs- undInterventionsstelle häusliche Gewalt) offers support and counseling to women and men whohave been or are affected by domestiv violence and/or stalking. Support services includeviolence counseling, information on legal protection options to protect yourself from furtherviolence as well as information and counseling for people who are being stalked. If necessary,we can refer you to lawyers, police, doctors, therapists, child and family counseling centersetc. All support is provided free of charge.

Women Emergency Helpline
We provide comprehensive counseling and specialist support services to people who arethreatened with or impacted by sexualized violence. We want to help you clarify and resolvethese situations and cope with what you have experienced. We offer phone counseling, e-mailcounseling or in-person counseling and aim to arrange appointments as soon as possible.Our services are free of charge and you can use our services anonymously. Other people whocan reach out to us are: your relatives, friends, people who are close to, but also professionalswho study sexualized violence or work in this field. For emergency situations we have a 24/7helpline you can call: 0341/3911199.

Women’s Counseling Center
Experiencing violence and feeling completely helpless and unable to control or change situations can have a lasting impact on your sense of self-worth and the way you perceive the world around you. If you suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, our women’s counseling center provides you with specialist trauma-informed counseling. These counseling sessions can also serve as an interim solution, while you wait for therapy.

Counseling for Children and Adolescents
Sexualised violence/sexual abuse against children and adolescents can be defined as any kind of sexual act that is performed on or in front of a child or adolescent against their will or to which they cannot knowingly consent due to their physical, mental and emotional stage of development. Abusers often take advantage of their position of power and authority over the child/adolescents to satisfy their own needs at the expense of the child/adolescent.

Girlz*Space – Specialized Office and Coordinating Centre for girls counseling in
Leipzig
Our specialized office and coordinating center provides gender-responsive counseling forchildren and adolescents and is, above all, a prevention project that is addressed to younggirls, trans, non-binary and intersex youth. We want to empower them through emancipatoryknowledge about gender and sexuality. In cooperation with the association “Lemann e.V.“,we offer gender-inclusive sex education workshops for students and further trainings forprofessionals. We also organise expert conferences or assist you at parent-teacherconferences, if desired. In cooperation with the association “RosaLinde e.V.“, we have alsocreated different programs for groups. With these programs, our aim is to provide a safe andaffirming environment for young girls, trans, non-binary and intersex children, youth andyoung adults aged 6 to 27 that allows them to explore who they are.
